Deb Carter
Mrs. Carter has lived in Arizona for over 40 years. She and her husband have been married for 26 years and have one daughter. Mrs. Carter holds a Degree in Child Development and has a range of experience from teaching reading at a Title 1 School to being an Independent Coordinator at a Private Christian School. She is dedicated to seeing students grow in their faith and become compassionate followers of Christ.

Heather Lynde
Heather graduated from Elmhurst College with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. In 1997, Heather moved to Arizona where she taught 2nd grade for 6 years. Arizona is also where she met her husband Jordan and together they have raised 7 children. Heather is looking forward to helping your children grow and learn at Compassion Christian Academy.

Justin Smith
Mr. Smith was born and raised in central Illinois before moving to Arizona in 2019 with his wife and four children. He has served in emergency services for over 20 years and was previously a lead instructor in EMS for 7 years before staying home full-time with his children. He now serves as an executive director for Healing Hands Medical Clinic, a local non-profit organization. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children.

Sharon Cataldi
Mrs. Cataldi brings nearly 30 years of administrative and financial experience to Compassion Christian Academy. Originally from Delaware, she moved to Arizona in 2006 with her husband, Mike. The two have been married for 21 years and have three children. Her background spans church ministry, corporate support, and nonprofit operations. Sharon is passionate about fostering a warm, Christ-centered environment where students and families feel encouraged, supported, and valued every day.

Julie Rhoadarmer
Mrs. Rhoadarmer has lived in Arizona since 1990 but is originally from Colorado, where some of our family still resides. Julie is a retired teacher from Mesa and has been teaching for over 18 years. She has taught grade school, middle school, and high school. Julie’s degree is in English and secondary education.

Rick Bernal
Rick is originally from Texas but has spent most of his life in the east valley of Arizona. He graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Mathematics and also has an MBA in Finance. Rick has a passion for helping students of any age learn mathematics, especially Algebra. Personally, he enjoys running, playing guitar, coaching and is the distance track coach for Divine Movement Track Club.

Trish Van Alstyne
Mrs. V has about twenty years of teaching experience, including her association with CCA for the last three school years. Before joining the CCA staff, she had the privilege and blessing of being "Grandma" and chaplain at an orphanage in the Philippines (2017-2020), where she lived as a missionary from LifePoint Church. She looks forward to leading Bible classes again this year.

Mike Shamburg
Mike has been married to Colleen for over 30 years. Together they have 4 daughters & 4 grandchildren. He has worked with youth for over 20 years & has been a youth pastor for 13 of those years. He and his wife have lived in San Tan Valley since 2005.
