Meet Our Team

  • Sharon Cataldi Operations Administrator

    Mrs. Cataldi brings nearly 30 years of administrative and financial experience to Compassion Christian Academy. Originally from Delaware, she moved to Arizona in 2006 with her husband, Mike. The two have been married for 21 years and have three children. Her background spans church ministry, corporate support, and nonprofit operations. Sharon is passionate about fostering a warm, Christ-centered environment where students and families feel encouraged, supported, and valued every day.

  • Heather Lynde

    Heather Lynde Academic Planning Administrator

    Mrs. Lynde graduated from Elmhurst College with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. In 1997, Heather moved to Arizona where she taught 2nd grade for 6 years. Arizona is also where she met her husband Jordan and together, they have raised 7 children. Heather is looking forward to helping your children grow and learn at Compassion Christian Academy.

  • Justin Smith

    Justin Smith Health & Safety Administrator

    Mr. Smith was born and raised in central Illinois before moving to Arizona in 2019 with his wife and four children. He has served in emergency services for over 20 years and was previously a lead instructor in EMS for 7 years before staying home full-time with his children. He now serves as an executive director for Healing Hands Medical Clinic, a local non-profit organization. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children.

  • Marylou Godinez Kindergarten

    Mrs. G holds a degree in early childhood education and has over 35 years of experience teaching Transitional Kindergarten (Pre-K) and Kindergarten. She feels truly blessed to be a part of the CCA community and loves sharing the love of Jesus with her students. She has a heart for little ones and a passion for providing a nurturing, Christ centered environment. She enjoys spending time with family, friends and grandchildren. She also loves to thrift shop and create with her circuit. Mrs. G looks forward to a joyful time of growth and learning!

  • Angel Spain First Grade

    With over 16 years in pharmacy, Mrs. Spain has always loved helping others and serving her community. For the past 5 years, she’s found joy working with children in private schools and gym childcare, where she brings patience, care, and encouragement to everything she does. She’s been happily married for 17 years and has two amazing children. Originally from New Mexico, she moved to Arizona in 2023. Mrs. Spain loves the Lord and finds great joy in helping children grow in faith, confidence, and love!

  • Jenna Mort Second/Third Grade

    Mrs. Mort joins CCA this year with a heart for children and a passion for helping every student reach their full potential. A mother of six, she brings both real‑world experience and a nurturing spirit to the classroom. With five years of ministry work, Jenna has cultivated deep patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to serve others. She is committed to creating a warm, encouraging learning environment where every child feels supported and able to thrive.

  • Julie Rhoadarmer

    Julie Rhoadarmer Middle School

    Mrs. Rhoadarmer has lived in Arizona since 1990 but is originally from Colorado, where some of our family still resides. Julie is a retired teacher from Mesa and has been teaching for over 18 years. She has taught grade school, middle school, and high school. Julie’s degree is in English and secondary education.

  • Aaron Gaut Middle School Math

    Mr. Gaut is a dedicated math tutor and family man who has built a steady, service‑oriented career grounded in patience and expertise. For nearly 15 years, he has helped students thrive in algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics, offering clear explanations and real‑world insight into challenging concepts. Born and raised in California, Aaron moved to Arizona in 2016. He and his wife, Krista, have been married for 10 years and are proud parents to their daughter, Faith. His move to Arizona marked a meaningful new chapter, allowing him to blend his love for teaching with a deep commitment to family and community.

  • Angie Wilsford Advanced English

    Mrs. Wilsford has 25 years of experience in education, specializing in English instruction. Throughout her career, she has taught students from 4th through 12th grade, helping them grow as readers, writers, and critical thinkers. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English, a master’s degree in educational administration with principal’s certification, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with superintendent’s certification. Outside of school, she has been married to Mr. Brent for 24 years, is a proud parent of five children, and a grandparent to seven wonderful grandchildren. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and volunteering church, where she’s grateful for the opportunity to serve her community and the youth of STV.

  • Carrie Penrod Bible

    Mrs. Penrod is a devoted bible teacher here at CCA and the Children’s Director at LifePoint Church. With a deep love for kids and a heart to see them grow in their faith, Carrie is passionate about helping children discover their true identity in the Lord. She believes teaching God’s word is not just a role, but her calling and purpose in life. She has been married for 20 years and is the proud mom of three wonderful children, ages 20, 17 and 12. Her greatest desire is to see every child walk confidently in who God created them to be and to know how deeply they are loved by Him!

    Grace is a dedicated and caring resource aid who brings energy, kindness, and a heart for service to our school community. As a high school student, she is passionate about helping younger students learn and grow, offering support with patience and encouragement each day. With a strong faith and love for God, Grace enjoys being part of a Christian environment where she can share joy and positivity.

  • Mike Shamburg

    Mike Shamburg CCA Pastor

    Mike has been married to Colleen for over 30 years. Together they have 4 daughters & 4 grandchildren. He has worked with youth for over 20 years & has been a youth pastor for 13 of those years. He and his wife have lived in San Tan Valley since 2005.
